Week 24 | 7.26.2010
For the past week on the way to the kitchen I’ve been walking past a basket of small plums that my mother brought over from a neighbor’s garden. I’ve been steadily turning the small mountain into a hill but there are still enough left for a moist plum & buttermilk cake. With a small disk of cocoa pastry crust held on with a dab of homemade caramel, this is a worthy breakfast, afternoon bite, or after-dinner treat.
Plums smell gooood!
